Veteran Actor Rajesh Khanna - the first superstar of bollywood passess away

July 18, 2012: Rajesh Khanna - Bollywood's first superstar is dead. Rajesh Khanna died today in the afternoon. He was released yesterday from the Leelavati hospital in Mumbai.

Rajesh Khanna had been ill since a long time and the country prayed for his deteriorating health. He was admitted to the hospital on July 14, 2012. Before this he was admitted to the hospital on 23 June 2012.

He was born in 1942 and was 69. He was married to Dimple Kapadia in 1973.

He became the first superstar of bollywood, appeared in 163 films and won the maximum BFJA awards for Best Actor.He made his debut with Aakhri Khat in 1966 and rose to become the first superstar of Bollywood.
